The children will return to school on the 7th January 2025

Tywyn School is situated on the south-eastern fringe of the Sandfields Estate, Port Talbot.  It provides mainstream education for pupils from its local community and a specialist teaching provision for pupils with special educational needs from within the County Borough of Neath Port Talbot. 

School Improvement Targets 2024/25  

1. To improve pupil attendance

2. To improve pupils’ literacy skills, in particular writing (more able)

3. To ensure all pupils make effective progress in line with the expectations of Curriculum for Wales

4. To develop a physical learning environment that supports all learners and enables them to make progress, whilst being conducive to their learning needs.

The aim of our website is to keep existing and prospective families in touch with what is going on at our school and to promote the school through children’s work. We think very highly of our school and believe we offer quality teaching and learning opportunities to your children and an atmosphere which enhances the development of the whole child.
