Pupil Voice Groups at Tywyn Primary School
At Tywyn Primary School, we believe every child should have the opportunity to share their ideas, express their opinions, and influence the decisions that shape their school life. Our Pupil Voice Groups ensure that learners play an active role in school improvement and help make our community the best it can be.
Criw Cymraeg
Our Criw Cymraeg promotes the Welsh language across the school. They help lead Welsh initiatives, support daily Welsh use, and encourage everyone to celebrate our Welsh identity and culture.
Eco Committee
The Eco Committee works on improving our school’s sustainability. They look at recycling, energy use, biodiversity, and caring for the environment. Their ideas support our journey to becoming a greener, more eco‑friendly school.
School Council
The School Council represents pupil views from across the school. They discuss what is going well, what could be improved, and share suggestions to make school life even better. They work closely with staff to create positive change.
Digital Leaders
Our Digital Leaders support the use of technology across the school. They promote safe, responsible use of digital tools and help pupils and staff with digital learning and online safety.
Introducing… The Tywyn Senedd
This year, we have launched an exciting new group: the Tywyn Senedd.
The Tywyn Senedd brings together representatives from each pupil voice group—Criw Cymraeg, Eco Committee, School Council, and Digital Leaders. By working collaboratively, they ensure that all pupil voices are heard at whole‑school level.
What is the Tywyn Senedd working on this year?
For 2025–2026, the Tywyn Senedd is focusing on:
School Improvement Priority 2:
To further enhance and develop a consistent whole‑school approach to well‑being.
The Senedd is working with pupils from across the school to gather views, discuss ideas, and shape actions that support learner well‑being. Through meetings, projects, and pupil discussions, the Senedd ensures children have a meaningful role in improving our school.
